Time for a New Chapter in My Life

I’m so glad you could join me on this new adventure of mine! This is where you can keep up to date with all my adventures and read about what I’m up to and what I’m doing next.  I started this blog just so that family and friends like you can follow me where ever I am and keep in contact with me one way or another.

So the story goes, it was a difficult decision but one that was made from the heart, my intuition and what my gut was telling me…it was time for a change, a massive change.  The decision to leave Melbourne was one of the hardest things I’ve ever come across, I won’t ever forget the day that I told my parents, mum had tears running down her face and didn’t want me to leave.  She couldn’t understand why I wanted to leave; she felt so helpless and could bear the thought of her baby girl not being by her side.

It’s something I can’t explain but when you know you have to do something, when your entire soul and whole being is telling you it’s the right thing to do. There was an accumulation of factors that brought me to this point, not a single thing I can pin point but a number of factors together.  My parents brought me up well, in a great loving home surrounded by love and family, sacrificed so much and raised me well; I studied hard and made my way into the corporate world.

I’m at a point in my life where most of my friends are either dating, engaged or married. I spend most of my weeks in a cycle of 9 to 5 and the pressure is on to get into the real estate market.  I don’t know what it is but all these factors are so different to what I want in my life. What I perceive as success in my life is to follow what makes me happy and what makes me happy is to follow my heart.  Every part of me is telling me I need to get out of my comfort zone and make a change; I need to take action instead of thinking about it. I’ve made the decision to move to Hobart.

It feels incredible to have a clear view of where you are going, Hobart is where I’m heading and it will be perfect for me.  A place that is still easily accessible from Melbourne yet is so different. Tasmania is beautiful, the great Tassie lifestyle, no more peak hour traffic, lower mortgage and away from the hustle and bustle.
